The mahoganies have slowed down a bit from the cold, but the fish are still looking up for baetis patterns. D&D cripples, Hatch Matcher BWO's, last chance cripples, and kingfisher cripples have been our go to baetis. If you do encounter particularly snotty pods, CDC patterns seem to be convincing the bigger fish. Dropping a size 16 green machine off of your mahogany has been very productive. The streamer fishing on the lower river has become more consistent all the way down to the Clark Fork confluence. If you're not getting bumped, switch it up, but black sculpzillas and aztec buggers have been go to for us lately.
