Picture perfect days on The Bitteroot lately! The bright sunny days make the fish a little picky, but the warm temps sure are nice. You can still find pods of fish sipping baetis in the shade, but you will have to do some searching. D&D cripples, Hatch Matcher BWO's, last chance cripples, and kingfisher cripples have been our go to baetis. Dropping a size 16 green machine off of your mahogany has been very productive. The streamer fishing on the lower river has become more consistent all the way down to the Clark Fork confluence. Small flashy patterns have worked best for us.
