Its been mahogany heaven lately on The Bitterroot and some spectacular fish have been making it into our nets. Size 12 and 14 mahogany cripples have been the ticket. D&D cripples, last chance cripples, and kingfisher cripples have been our go to mahoganies. BWOs have really shown up in the afternoon. If you do encounter particularly snotty pods, CDC patterns seem to be convincing the bigger fish. Dropping a size 16 green machine off of your mahogany has been very productive. The streamer fishing on the lower river has become more consistent all the way down to the Clark Fork confluence. If you're not getting bumped, switch it up. Black sculpzillas and mini dungeons have worked well for us.
