Hopefully everyone can sneak out for a quick fish because the fishing has been pretty stellar. We are starting to see more and more bugs every day. March browns, spring drakes, skwalas, midges, and nemouras are all on the menu. The baetis hatch has been coming off in a big way. You can find fish chowing baetis and midges in back eddies and tail-outs. Fish a foam emerger, smoke jumper baetis, or a thorax BWO. Fishing sqwalas tight to the banks has been a good option too. For sqwalas try a flush floater, water walker, el camino, or even just a royal chubby. Putting on a dropper will keep you entertained in between the sqwala eats.

Underneath use pheasant tails, perdigons,  two bit hookers, San Juan worms, jig rubber legs, Pat's rubber legs, jigstones, and hare's ear nymphs. Streamers have been working well in the down time between hatches with mojo minnows, sparkle minnows, bighorn buggers, sculpzillas, and sex dungeons. The streamers have been fishing best deep in the column. Get out and enjoy the weather, safely!
