Flows area wide continue to plummet and most of the rivers are peaking in the high 60 degree range these days. The mid to upper river is fishing pretty well midday, for now, but the lower river has been tough in the sun. It makes up for in spade, though, when evening hits and the spinners and caddis come into play. The glassy lower river is tough but rewarding fishing in the evening. Hoppers, golden stones, PMD, ants have all been effective midday. Like all the rivers locally at this point, early and late has been the name of the game for the best windows of opportunity.

HATCHES/Flies: hoppers in the sun, PMDs, caddis, yellow sallies, green drakes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Missoula's best fly selection . . . by far.
