**Be sure to lock your toppers, rod vaults, and vehicles at night. It sounds like the scum of the earth (thieves) have been pretty active in the Missoula area. We have heard multiple reports of stolen fishing gear.**

The upper Bitterroot has been fishing very well with the cooler water temps. The flow above town is hanging around 800 cfs and has been topping out at 73 degrees. If you are going to hit the lower end, make sure you hit the river early. The dry fly bite has been ending around noon. The morning hopper fishing has been very noteworthy. Pink thunder thighs and Morrish hoppers were the ticket for us. Streamer fishing at day break, more often than not, has provided the best opportunity for BIG fish. For Streamers use sparkle minnows, Aztec buggers, Big Horn buggers, mini sex dungeons, and T&A leeches. Olive and white combinations have been best.
