You should have good fishing on the 'root today, with good trico action through the morning and hopper action in the afternoon. The trico eating fish on the lower river have started to get a little snotty, so sizing down may be the name of the game. Tails-up tricos, sunken spinners, midge clusters, and double wing spinners have fooled em for us. Higher on the river, hoppers, ants, and beetle patterns have been very effective. Stripping caddis emergers or swinging soft hackles in the evenings will get you some very nice fish.
