Fall fishing is here and is most welcome. This is our favorite time of year to be on The Bitterroot. Minimal crowds and big fish sipping mayflies. Do not leave home without your rain coat, streamer box, and mayfly box. Baetis, mahoganies and fall drakes are all on the way. Mahoganies have already started to show up, along with hecuba. Tilt wing mahoganies, D&D BWO cripples, rusty spinners, midge clusters, laser pointer drakes, and brindle chutes are some fall flies you will want in your box. The mid day hopper action has been really good as well. Small, purple hoppers have been the bug of choice. The streamer bite has been getting better by the day. Peanut envy's, baby gongas, aztec buggers, mojo minnows, sex dungeons, and sparkle minnows have been our go-to streamers.
