The Blackfoot has slowly been on the rise and is fairly off color. During the heat of the day you will find some dry fly opportunities, but it has primarily been a nymph and streamer game. The lower river has been much more consistent with the warmer weather. Any stretches above Johnsrud or Whitaker Bridge have been much more of a roll of the dice since its still been pretty cold up there. Nymphing in the morning will keep you busy until things warm up. Double beaded stones, Pat's rubber legs, Crown jewels, San Juan worms, Jig stones, and Princes are all good choices. Double Gongas, Double Dirty Hippies, and Nacy P's slapped tight to the willows will be your best strategy.

** The gate is still closed to Johnsrud and Cable Car boat launches. **
