The Blackfoot has been steadily dropping since the rainstorm/flash flood a couple days ago. We still have a bit to go for wade fisherman, but is a doable option for floaters this weekend. The fish will be pushed up in the willows and on the banks. Ripping streamers off the bank or throwing a salmonfly tight to the willows is the way to go. Drop a prince nymph, rubber legs, CDC pheasant tail, pearl green lightning bug, or a San Juan off your salmonfly and hold on. Still no real big numbers of salmonflies yet, but they are in the system and you'll find some fish willing to eat the dry. For streamers try head banger sculpins, sculpzillas, Big Horn buggers, zoo cougars, and meat whistles. Stay safe and have a good weekend!
