Now that it's almost September, we can start talking about the fall streamer fishing on the Blackfoot, which can be really good. Along with good streamer action, the dry fly fishing can be outstanding. Water temps have been pretty chilly, so no need to be on the water at first light. For dries use elk hair caddis, more-or-less hoppers, Chernobyls, stimulators, ant-acids, super beetles, water walkers, parachute adams, and purple hazes. For nymphs use Pat's rubber legs, purple princes, jig stones, lightning bugs, CDC pheasant tails, and jig quill nymphs. For streamers use sparkle minnows, sculpzillas, double dirty hippies, standard buggers, aztec buggers, and dark articulated patterns.
