Blackfoot Fishing Report - 9/22
The flow on the Blackfoot this morning is 420cfs and fishing it has been fishing well. The river has been a bit moody in the suddenly cooler weather, especially on top, but you can generally find the bite with some searching. Some days it's as simple as a #12 or 14 royal Wulff and the next it's the size 8 yellow stimulator which is oddly effective right into late October up here. If they're showing you no love on the surface, tandem p-tail nymph rigs have been good right off the bottom as have dark bodied size 8 bugger type stuff. The best of the dry fly fishing is still running from about 10:30 until 3:30. PATTERNS: Parachute adams, elk hair caddis, morris hopper, Copper Johns, Psycho Prince, Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 14 amber prince.
