The Clark Fork has been fishing very well from top to bottom. The dry fly window is getting radically shorter with the cold front that's moving in. Fish will start keying on the baetis over the mahoganies as it gets colder. You'll continue to have good dry fly action, but for a shorter period of time. The streamer fishing continues to be very good with yellow being the most productive color on the upper river. Olive or black has been best below Missoula.
