The upper Clark Fork has been fishing pretty decent in the cooler temps, but the back channels on the lower end are decent options too. The spring seeps that dump into the lower river can give you some pretty good action this time of year. Expect tandem nymph rigs to fish the best. Micro stones, Pat's rubber legs, amber princes, pheasant tails, blood midges, and lightning bugs should all be good bets. During the heat of the day fish a dry-dropper rig. Fish are starting to look up for the skwala. Bring a coat, weather looks nasty.

HATCHES: midges, skwalas, march browns
