The Clark Fork is starting to shape up, even though it is on the rise. Both upper and lower. Fish are starting to move around, getting ready to chow. Skwalas have been hatching around mid-day. For skwalas try a blackout skwala, double dutch bug, half-down, or a rogue stone. A few March browns have been spotted, but mostly midges. For mayfly patterns try rocky mtn mints, purple haze, March browns, midge clusters, and film critic cripples. Streamer fishing has been a bit inconsistent, but cloudy days have been best.Try a skiddish smolt, meat whistle, or a lil' kim. Enjoy the sunshine!
