Water clarity is good up here and water levels are reasonable for good wading, although the stakes are much higher if you go swimming in this weather - be careful it's cold!  We've been having decent fishing all the way from Valley of the Moon to Gillies bridge with a small dry fly window that's consistent from about 2 to 4. Before or after that, you'll definitely do better with nymph rigs. Skwala stones, purple princes, MacGruber nymphs, San Juan's, rubberlegs, jigged princes, March brown nymphs, zebra midges, two bit hookers, and olive Sloans. This really is one of the most effective times for smaller, slower moving streamers too. Stick to the slower water and keep your retrieves slow and smooth. If you plan on fishing the upper sections keep in mind the road is still in poor condition and you'll save time driving in from the top.
