Rock Creek has continued to drop and is becoming a great option for dry fly fishing. Salmonflies are out and have made their way up as far as Upper Fire Ring. They should be river wide within the next couple days if the weather stays nice. The creek is still relatively high, so wade with caution.

The fish on the lower end are really starting to key in on salmonflies. Green drakes, yellow sallies, and goldens are right around the corner too. Throwing a chubby with long dropper is a good plan. For salmonflies use Pteronarcys chubbies , 64 impalas, SUV stones, flutter bugs, Henry's Fork Stones, and rogue stones. This is also the time of year to fish size 2 & 4 rubberlegs, yuk bugs, and bitch creeks. For other nymphs use SJ worms, sparkle stones, purple princes, and lightning bugs.

HATCHES: baetis, mothers day caddis, grey drakes, skwalas, salmonflies?
