The fishing up Rock Creek is really starting to turn the corner into fall mode. With the appearance of the October caddis, mahoganies, and hecubas, the fish have certainly been looking up for dries. Brindle chutes, sprout baetis, trico spinners, tilt wing mahoganies, pheasant tail parachutes , rusty spinners, and small hoppers have been our go to drys. With the cooler nights, the bigger trout have definitely started to get aggressive towards streamers, so head that way and tie on something ugly. Sparkle minnows, baby gongas, and headbanger sculpins worked well for us over the weekend.

HATCHES: hoppers, mahoganies, BWOs, caddis, hecubas

FLIES: Prince nymphs, rogue stone, parachute adams, elk hair caddis, hoppers, stoneflies/nymphs, streamers.
