Description

Rock Creeks are a dime a dozen across the West. But Montana’s version is the gold standard, cutting through the Sapphire and Garnet mountains and crawling with thick trout and ultra-slick wading opportunities. Simms’ Rock Creek Boot, with a full-length retention plate for HardBite™ studs, is the solution to stomping out the slip factor. Anglers will appreciate heavy-duty construction packed into a lightweight boot built for long miles. The cut and buff EVA midsole bolsters stability, while rubber rand toes and heels ramp up abrasion resistance for lasting comfort and durability over a wide range of creeks that rock.

Simms Boots In a Nutshell

Simms has a great lineup of wading boots, and they’re all designed with comfort, functionality, and durability in mind. The more reasonably priced boots give you a high-quality Simms product for an affordable price. The Simms Rock Creek Boot is the least expensive Simms wading boot, and is also one of the lightest. It comes only in a felt bottom, which contributes to the weight savings, and provides the sole material that traditional and modern anglers love. The Simms Rock Creek Boot is built on the Simms Streamtread platform.  Up from there is the Freestone Boot, which is considerably heavier, but is very durable and built to last. It comes in both felt and Vibram sole models. The Freestone boot is built on the Simms Streamtread platform and ultilizes vibram Idrogrip in the sole.  Next is the Simms Vapor Boot. Like the Simms Rock Creek Boot, it is quite light, and is designed as a kind of hybrid hiking/wading boot. It is only offered with the Vibram sole.  The Simms Vapor boot uses the Vaportread platform.  Up from there is the Simms Rivershed Boot, one of Simms’ best all-around boots. Offered in both felt and Vibram soled, it has nearly a full covering of rubber around the outside of the boot for easy cleaning and better resistance to clinging invasive species. From there we have the Simms G3 Guide Boot, again offered in both felt and Vibram soles. It truly is one of Simms’ best footwear products. Comfortable, very durable, and built for extra ankle support with higher tops.

Simms also offers two boots with the BOA Lacing System. These boots are “laces-free,” so to speak, which amounts to a faster and more precise tightening of the boot to your foot. Both models, the Simms RivertekBOA and the Simms G4 BOA, come in felt of Vibram soled versions.
