12/3 - The season is definitely winding down now, even with the warm weather we've been having. There are midges out and about and on the particularly warm afternoons, there are still fish looking up to eat 'em. The best gig on the 'root right now, however, is the easy pickins for whitefish. Hitting shallow riffles early in the morning with small prince nymphs or other flashy nymph rigs will get your limit in a hurry. Once you key in on the schools, it's quick work and lots of fun. Nothing better than a hot out of the smoker whitie with spicy mustard and a cold micro brew!
